
Skating Club Maine Presents True Colors The Skating Club of Maine Basic Skills members will show off their talents in their annual show “True Colors” on Saturday March 27th at 2pm.
The show, featuring skaters of all ages, is a local favorite that marks the end of the figure skating season in mid-coast Maine . This year’s show promises to be as lively and vibrant as its name suggests. Color will infuse the ice arena in music and costume.
This year the Skating Club of Maine is fortunate to present Allison Johnston as our featured guest skater soloist. Allison began skating 12 years ago at the USM ice arena on the Gorham Campus. She continued skating at Portland Ice Arena and started working with Kristin Andrews. Allison is currently working on her Senior-level freeskating and Gold-level Senior freestyle tests. She is a student at the University of Southern Maine and also coaches group lessons at the Portland and Falmouth ice arenas.
“True Colors” will showcase the club’s new Synchronized Skating team, Subzero, as well as over 60 skaters performing to Black Velvet, Pink Cadillac, Green Eggs and Ham, and many other favorites.
